Alternative Concepts

After the interviews, our group analyzed and combined datas and 7 need statements are occured. These are ergonomic, usefulness, ability of hygienic, portability, recovery effect, durability and reliability respectively. At this point, each member of group specified 10 alternative concepts that based on these need statements.

Concept # 1

Toothbrush with timer. There is a digital display on the handle and it is adjusted to 3 minutes. When the time is up, it warn the user with vibration or alarm.

Concept # 2

Toothbrush with safety rope that is affixed to collar or clothes. This helps confident usage for the children and babies.

Concept # 3

Toothpaste in the form of small packages that is disposable to eliminate carrying a tube of toothpaste. Also this prevents waste of toothpaste. It is used with toothbrush that has covered place for packages.

Concept # 4

Toothbrush with collapsible head. When user pushes to button bristle brush enter into product. Via this property, bristles are protected from exogenous factors.

Concept # 5

Toothbrush with  a system that provides dental care product like listerine after brushing and system is activated with button placed in the tail of toothbrush.

Concept # 6

Toothbrush with sensitive back & lateral surface for cleaning palate or tongue. Also this prevents damages to the mouth during brushing.

Concept # 7

Toothbrush that consists of detachable parts. These parts are pieced together by using magnets.

Also this contributes configurable brush length.

Concept # 8

Toothbrush with moveable and adjustable hand. It is used at the desired angle.

Concept # 9

Toothbrush with camera. This helps to find out decays, tartars and bleeding tooth.  Camera is battery powered.

Concept # 10         

Key chain shaped toothbrush with foldable handle and head for the portability.

10 Need Opportunities

1)Target Segment: Society, especially housewives and students.

Sometimes there are dirty dishes but number of these are not sufficient to make dishwasher full. It is hard to clean them manually and it spends lots of time and water. As a result of this problem, there is a need that make dishes clean through spending less water and gaining time.

2)Target Segment: Society, especially people that are living alone.

The problem is that people have difficulty when they are folding or ironing their clothes. It is challenging that takes a long time. The need is to make it easier and gaining time.

The person who wants to travel or pay money in bank may meet with difficulties. Sometimes they need coin sometimes banknote. Through some machines, purchasing may becomes more easier.

The problem is when people want to drink some hot drinks they use large scale heaters, electricity and more water. They need a heater that is more smaller and battery-powered because of eliminating conditions in problem.

5)Target segment: Society, especially people who go to work early in the morning.

It is hard to eat butter or other breakfast foods in morning because of limited time. Who wants to prepare breakfast in morning faces with lots of problem. If they do not they spend an exhausting day.  For that reason, people need to eat their breakfast quickly without any dirty fork or plate and swiftly.

6)Target segment: Bodybuilders and athletes

Bodybuilders and other athletes have a problem that is training at home.  Sometimes, because of the  putting in a hard day at work or school, they can't go the gym or workout. They need to train at home with various sport equipments. But it is not possible due to occupied a large area. If these equipments become more smaller this may happen.

7)Target segment: Society, especially people who have spine problem

One of the today's big problem is sitting up straight at home, work or other areas. After a long time, people face with some problems that is caused by hunchbacked. To prevent this situation, the person who sit in the incorrect position need a seat or  a chair that helps to sit up straight with warning.

8)Target segment: Society, especially people who have to  stay away from home frequently.

Sunlight is one of the basic components of human life and it becomes more important when people leave away from the home for a long time. If the place is sunless, they encounter with many problems. This may causes humidity or microbes. At this point, the need is a system that provide sunlight or coordinate roller blinds through sun-sensitive cells.

9)Target segment: Society, especially athletes

It is hard  to take a bath in gyms or pools after actions and lots of people use these showers. Because carrying shampoo, shower gel or soap is troublesome and there is no place to put all of them. The need is that the system that provide convenience for using water, shampoo and gel together.

10)target segment: Men

After shaving without blade and shaving foam, there may be trimmed beard in the sink or on the ground. Here, the problem is hardship of cleaning and it caused by current electric razors. The need is more hygienic shaving and the razor that can prevent scattering.

My Favorite Product ''Protein Powder''

   Although there are lots of devices, products and inventions, protein powder is the most useful product that facilitate the my life in the recent days. Since August 2013 when I started to use this product, my life become easier in terms of nutrition and growing.

   

   To start with the defition of product, protein powder is a nutritional supplement that is made from complex proteins such as whey, soy or eggs. Generally, they are in powder form and can be used when mixed with water or milk. This product gain importance because the human body, mostly athletes', needs protein daily. Examples of protein rich foods are chicken, fish, beef, eggs, cheese and milk. But all of these foods have long digestion time and that are hard to prepare after training. Protein powders bring convenience, faster absorption, better digestion and saving time. This is why protein powder make my life easier.

   On the other hand, its price is suitable for my budget. When I purchase for the product, I can take advantage of them for 3-4 months. If I consider its cost montly, there is not any obstacle to purchase for the product.

   Consequently, even though there are some negative opinions about product (to damage to the liver), I am using consciously and carefully. As a result of these, protein powder is my favorite product because it ease the life.
